Water cooperation between the Nile Basin countries, focusing on the Egyptian role
Main Article Content
Abstract
Challenges facing the joint water cooperation between the Nile Basin countries are represented in how to achieve the optimum utilization of resources in each country without harming the interests of other countries. Therefore, the basin countries must give priority to attention in developing their water resources and thus cooperation and integration can be achieved in other areas between the basin countries.
Therefore, the study discusses collective water cooperation projects signed between the Nile Basin countries and explains the most important challenges facing water cooperation projects, as it focuses on the regional role that Egypt plays in achieving water cooperation, given that the Nile Basin countries system is a regional system in which water interactions represent the predominant ratio to the overall Other interactions.
